I didn't keep him, but a great piece nonetheless. Arrived about three weeks ago from Sideshow's US HQ:

    A little.
No seriously, I feel that this bust (more than any other I had so far) needs a special display spot in order to give it the atmosphere and feel that it is supposed to have.
First, it would have to be placed on eyelevel or even above because the hair is certainly the weakest link here as we all know. Second, it needs special lighting, namely it's own spotlight, to make it look real like in the picture.
Both of these "requirements" are not available in my current display right now or are already reserved for other pieces.
And yes, it is in it's very nature to have this in-your-face look which you can either like or not but I think it was kinda cool and unique for the moment.

Cool. That's from their mini bust line I suppose? What's the limitation on it?
    Very colorful!

    Very colorful!

In fact it's from their only line.Plan B Toys only produced 6 minibusts from the DC line! They encounter some production problems with the seventh bust and got delayed. Meantime their DC licence got expired and the last bust never saw daylight.Such a shame cause it was another Skeksis bust(Skektek, the scientist). All limited to 500 pieces!!
They've never made a statue. So,we have: 2 Skeksis; 1 Mystic; Aughra; a Garthim and Urskek.
These busts are very nice and highly detailed what makes it more unfortunate we won't see anything else from them!
All these are very sought after and their value increased drastically on the after market!
So I don't quite understand what happened to me yesterday:I scored a Mystic bust from Plan B on ebay for $10!!!WIth shipment I paid $45 or approx 33euros!!! :O(from USA)
The guy has 100% pos.feedback and I've already got my tracking number!Couldn't believe it!To good to be true?Don't know if I'm being screwed but at first look everything seems fine!Maybe the guy didn't knew its value???We'll see...Maybe I will receive an empty box or something...

Btw. Phil, feel free to open new threads when you receive such cool new things. This thread was merely intended to share some random snapshots of whatever. No need to limit yourself to this topic. ;)

Saw their 1:1 Kermit a while back, it's awesome.
This one seems even more friggintastic.

Some great photos in this thread guys. I like the Stealth Iron Man a lot. If I was still collecting SS it would have been mine.
For your enjoyment, I present... some very old phtos of my old collectables from yesteryear....

Isn't it great fun to go back and see what your collection once looked like? :)
You made a clear cut there, Steve, when compared to pics from your most recent, obviously more mature, setup. Nevertheless a display cram-full with, say, Bowen stuff can be much fun too. I'm not quite there to make that decision just yet (and maybe never will, not sure), it's really hard to give some things away.

Yes it is good fun t go baxck and look. I have some photographs in a box somewhere with all my orginal Bowen's from phase 1 & 2, and my old Hard Hero Transformers busts around here somewhere. I'll have to get them scanned in.
The cut had to be made for the sake of room, cost, uniformity and feel. I have to say though I still love Bowen's stuff, in terms of comic book stuff he is out there on his own.
I found your "graveyard" section the other night Lars. There is some interesting stuff in there for sure
