Called on Saturday to firm up the details for payment.
Have to wait for Monday to make sure they get it, and yes I am excited to receive this!

I'm curious, those of you who already own the original Alien will you be displaying both or is it your intention to sell the original?

It's Thursday Raf. Would be great to have the Alien then. What a present (to myself). [IMG]
Hope it all goes well later. It's a public holiday over here in England so I'll be waiting up on those pictures!

    I'm glad you asked.
Once I've unpacked and checked the Artist Proof Alien, and confirmed everything is fine, I'll make my current Alien available.

You guys may want to coordinate your efforts to get the most on ebay if it comes to that.
Where is Raf with his pics?

I guess they were serious on that "by the end of day" statement.

ok so got the alien, and i can see that this one is a bit more broze then the other one i have, and some flat dark tones to it, and you can see a bit more sockets , but pretty much the same, the original base is a lot heavier and more solid the the one from the other one and does not feel flimsy if you push on top of it, so it is a better base, and again heavier, and has the AP on it as well, the new kamodo base is very light as expected from the 9 lbs on the shipping tracking info. but have to say has a very cool paintjob and very happy with it, it is hollow and has a bottom cover on it but could have been a bit thicker. once put on base, the alien does not lean, but being who i am i pushed it and wiggled it to see what would happen , pics are loading , comming very soon , i for one am a happy camper, pics in room are with flash

Awesome buddy, congrats. The base looks fantastic. Don't see much difference with the alien itself. What's your opinion on it?

This new one has a bit more bronze on it and a bit more flat black in areas, then the other one I have but that could be like any other out there , really not much , a bit more soft looking then my other one that I have in areas , could be the flat black in areas that make it look like that. ,

Okay so it does have its own style of certificate to match the base plaque. That's very cool! :)

    Wow.
Thanks for taking these outside Raf. Really gives a sense of the colour depth, and the different blended tones around the circumference. And I think those letters actually pop out nicely. What are your impressions of the lettering in person Raf?

That's a great looking Alien Raf. There doesn't look to be any lean, and I concur with your thoughts on the paint applications.
Have you tried the Alien out on the Giger base BTW? And how was it fitting the Alien on the Komoda base?
Overall I'm very impressed, and so happy to see it arrived safely and in one piece. :king:

The close up pic of the silver plaque is actuall from the tiger base , both bases have the silver plaque with the AP on it way cool, and I did not put it on the giver base Steve as I plan on displaying it with the new base . But I will put him on it tomorrow, I'm sure it will be better then the old tiger base as this tiger ine is a lot heavier and the top is solid eith no give way at all. The fitting on the komoda base was easy and a nice fit . The more I see it the more happy I am that I got this , really loving the base and the letters are way cool in person , it really looks like they are lit up, very happy.
