Received my female T-rex bust. What a HUGE disappointment!
Take a look how they've attached and 'worked in' the lower jaw piece!
It's frightening to see them hiring masons now to do the job.
And the paintjob if truly horrible with almost no nuances and an avalance of black dots!
This atrocity is going straight back from where it came.
I have a hard time believing this female T-rex bust is coming from a Toynami factory.
All those high quality Toynami products from ECC & CC are telling me otherwise.
It would be a shock if the bust indeed came from a Toynami factory but then I remembered the Genisys 1/4 endo debacle... which actually explains a lot.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if many of the JW/JP pieces are produced in lesser quality factories, just like the TG endo was.
Can you imagine how the upcoming ECC Mohawk Gremlin (with all these patterns & dots) would look like if they've painted it with the same level of 'artistry' as the female T-rex bust?
My approach with CC's JP pieces will be one of 'waiting and see' until the production piece hits collector's hand.I just can't trust them anhymore to be placing pre-orders blindly.
Don't look to good in those pics Phil, as for the paint I cant say any of my ECC maquettes have a bad paint job even the earlier ones eg the reaper .
This female T-rex bust should have been a 'flagship' piece considering the origins of it.
She's almost one brown colour with practically no nuances and those black dots are giving it a very amateurish finish.
Such a shame.
Phil will you touch it up ?
No,no...I've send it back for a refund.
The bust would require a complete repaint + it's a lost sculpt with those ugly seams.
Not acceptable for such an expensive bust.
