I care André,lol...I would love a Blade cinemaquette for instance and I completely disagree about the second Blade movie

I mean that CM themselves don't care what we think or wish :)

So to see new pieces based on movies that sucked in the first place raises my eyebrows to new levels.

I think what you're describing pretty much sums up the whole movie collectables industry these days Andre, but that's a different story. Suffice to say that 'cool' seems to trump over all else.
    .

A bit extreme,no?I still see a lot of pieces in there from great movies...

Yep,that's true...but I was answering your question if there were people still caring for the Blade license.

The Reaper is the next volume. I don't think there's anything else to come this year we haven't seen already.

This is sculpted - there is no silicon.

The Elite Creature pieces are going to be distributed through Cinemaquette and Cinmeaquette Presents - just like the Batman products. The Reaper is in 1:3 scale, so will be the next volume.
Whether Cinemaquette follow up with their own thing, or another Elite maquette I do not know.

Cinemaquette was selling like 200 units a year(the last 2/3 years).
No wonder they stoped it/changed it to ECC!
And the Products look better and fresher to me:High end statues, busts and replicas;good decision!

I'm not really impressed with what I see here and what the hell is that head doing on that base ???

Boy , I'm not blown away, and it may be the pic but the pose feels awkward , not liking the left hand look .

philippe wrote 14 hours earlier  »
Ouch, not something that will find its way in many collections I fear...especially if CM prices are handled for this ECC line.
    Underwhelming at first glance.

In my view this is one for die hard creature fans and lovers of Blade only.

The paintjob does seem to be of a high quality for a sculpted piece, just maybe not the quality we're used to from CM's silicon pieces. That being said, I agree with the general opinion here regarding the pose, the hand, and the head on the base.
Blade and creature fans will surely love it, but personnaly I have no interest in this.

Again, a beautifully painted bust, but a very very bad character choice to say the least...

Why someone would be interested in buying this is beyond me...
Darknight wrote 6 hours earlier  »
Steve Wang needs to get out of this "blade" is cool ideology and get on with sculpting other more iconic characters. There is a reason why SS and other major production companies are avoiding this license.

Agreed, but it was to be expected that his first project (and probably the following ones too) wil be based on his own creations.

i am the one who love this direction? cm was incredible for statue full resin or metal but the human face was very bad(the worst are aragorn and indy), but it's true that the proders blade trinity is a very bad choice but the 1/3 maquette is just incredible and it's THE STATUE of this comic con for me

Casey Love painted these. I seriously doubt the factory will be able to replicate the paint job entirely. I would be interested in the reaper if it's priced in the $1000-$1200 range.

Kratos you dont know the power of the silicon and real hair :)
When you taste it you dont want anymore resin and sculpted hair
Resin and sculpted hair is ok for marvel caractere but not for human caractere imo
The only positive point is that its 1/3 scale...but resin statue and that base will no fit well with other CM imo...

The base is ok but it's too white. It needs some grey tones added to it. The severed head just cheapens the whole thing IMHO. It appears to have a light up feature in the base as well.

If you have the Blade license and you do want to make a blade character wouldn't you at least try to make Jared Nomak (played by Luke Goss) instead of some generic reaper , I'm almost done with CM :nothanks:

    What is a Cinemaquette?
What if the great moments in cinema could step out of the screen and into your living room? Not merely a poster or a toy, but a stunningly accurate, three-dimensional memento of some of the most popular characters in modern film.
Lavishly produced and detailed, each Cinemaquette immortalizes its subject with breathtaking vividness - a work of art fit for a museum, yet still affordably priced for any home or office.
