Yes Karim , I do have to agree there , this is not silicone and that would have made the difference , but I say again being that this is ECC , cm SHOULD have had something as well

Putting aside the choice of character/film (we won't dwell on the fact that Wesley Snipes as Blade is a more logical choice), I have to agree with Raf's points about the level of gore, and the awkward pose. The lack of silicon is to be expected given the level of detail employed in the face I suppose.
This doesn't feel like a Cinemaquette, so it is odd that it's being released as such - albeit an ECC production. I'm not disputing the artistry on display or the level of technical achievement. but it just doesn't feel like a piece that can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the likes of Bruce Lee, Marlon Brando, Darth Vader and the Predator.

Ouch, not something that will find its way in many collections I fear...

In my view this is one for creature fans and lovers of Blade.

Next to the reaper,is that a 1/1 bust of Dracula from Blade3?

    It's a 1:1 Drake bust Phil.

Agree with u guys. Over all I like it. It's not that bad, but like u said does not feel like a cm the sculpt is great , costuming great, the hand poses a problem for me, the pose as well. But what gets me most is the base is pretty horrid IMO the head I do not like at all and they could of dome without, at least that head shows us one thing, that future piece with hair may be fully sculpted, which is a huge let down. Silicon would of made a huge difference this to me does not warrant a cm price tag, curious to see what this line will cost. Also to me as Steve said poor choice of character, i know this is going to be a creatures line and I also know Steve wang has a love for the reaper, but man so many other creatures thA are waaaayyyy more iconic to chose from.

F**k Blade. Not a classic in any way. I thought CM was all about iconic characters?
This is coming from a huge horror fan as well.

I really got to thinking , and I came to the conclusion that I'm sure it is happening to all us cinemaquette collectors , and it is hard to put in my head that this tequnically is not and does not come from cinemaquette , but from the ECC , hence the painted hair on the cut off head and lack of silicone . So we must all just tell ourselves that a cm will come next year , yes I know freaking another year , and hope that cm will make it up to us with an iconic character and get themselves back on the map.

Technically you're correct Raf - this is an ECC production - released through Cinemaquette. The departure from silicon in itself is nothing new for the line (the Predaor and Alien were both fully sculpted), but the departure from silicon for a 'human' piece is. And given that silicon and real hair is the unique selling point of Cinemaquette, the absence of either for the Reaper maquette may confuse.
While it's true there msy be a new Cinemaquette next year, it's now been three years since Vader was revealed to near universal acclaim. I hate to sound like devil's advocate but you can be sure that the people who were lukewarm towards the Creature will be just as lukewarm towards this piece.

From left to right, Blade 2 Reaper 1:3 maquette, Blade 3 Drake 1:1 bust, Blade 2 Reaper 1:1 bust; Blade 2 Transformotion Placard.
    Again, awesome find Karim.

This last pic of the reaper does look a lot better , but man being that cm had or has the licence from universal they could have taken advantage and at least hit a home run with frankenstain

A close-up of the face would be good at this point. Also the card that accompanies the piece will reveal more details about expected edition size/price tec.

Steve Wang needs to get out of this "blade" is cool ideology and get on with sculpting other more iconic characters. There is a reason why SS and other major production companies are avoiding this license.
As for CM, they really need to start focusing on releasing at least 1 new character per year. It has been too long since I was excited about a CM product and the appeal of CM is slowly diminishing, given the long wait with hardly any new announcements. Come on CM, where is Batman, Iron Man, Selene, Gladiator, Kill Bill, Luke Skywalker, etc. These are just some of the more iconic characters I can think of at the back of my mind which I know fans would just love to see CM do. Heck, I would even buy a wolf predator if CM comes up with one.

If CM work out as you said for the next release Batman, Iron Man, Selene, Gladiator, Kill Bill, Luke Skywalker, then i cannot avoid them extreamly! even i got SS already Money must be spent!

We've been discussing 'CM wishlists' for years now on this forum. People just have to accept the fact that CM will never release 99% of all the characters we would want them to create, because it's evident that nothing is happening with the 'real' Cinemaquette brand right now. Except for The Creature's impending release that is. We can scream what we want, but nobody is listening and nobody cares.
Seeing this complete focus on the Blade franchise (does anybody still care about Blade anyway?! ) surprises me to say the least. It's totally underwhelming. Apart from that the original Blade movie was pretty cool, but the sequels sucked. So to see new pieces based on movies that sucked in the first place raises my eyebrows to new levels.

I think what you're describing pretty much sums up the whole movie collectables industry these days Andre, but that's a different story. Suffice to say that 'cool' seems to trump over all else.
Anyway I would agree that most of the stuff we speculate about on wish lists will never get made, but that's not really the point because for the most part they're little more than a fun distraction.
