Im asking why not create a 1/3 human caractere special for CBD?
1- choose a movie caractere and museum pose (easier for shipping)
2- find someone to sculpt head and hand...
3- Raf will mold to silicon
    4- punched hair and paint
    5- sculpt body
6- Raf's seamstress will make the clothes
    7- assemble all
    8- final statue!
Im sure Raf could do it, but dont know if he has got time...

Lol this is a good idea and talked about in the past. It's a huge undertaking for raf and quite expensive. The sculpt alone could be more than $2500 then all the silicon, paint, tailoring, it could be well up there I. Also the problem would be settling n character everyone would be ok with. Raf and I spoke breifly in Skype about a yoda piece, it seems small enough to make, a companion piece for vader, again the sculpt would be tough. I would like to try my hand at sculpting, it's been soo long. Lol. There are just to many talented sculpted put there,

A while back I was asked to do a 1/3 yoda sitting like this, had all the pics , was about to start , then got all this other stuff going on , and then completely lost the email , from the guy who wanted it , unable to get a hold of him , so put it on hold , but still in back of my mind , and planning on trying to see if I can capture the look. But I need to get the old stuff done first.

Yes this was talked about a while back , and yes the head sculpt alone can cost up to 2500 or more and not in silicone, and the problem is to find a reputable sculpter that will deliver, and by experience I found that to be very hard , so that can be a big ass headache. It's one thing to take long but show progress pics , and another to take a whole yr with no progress pics at all. Very frustrating and at then end no product at all. And it must be a character that at least 10 would sell , to minimize cost and at least have some kind of profit , as if it is less pieces , more expensive and little profit if any. But is doable.

The problem I'd forsee would be the transition to silicon from clay...can be extremely tricky as we all know...many facial features need to be exaggerated to have a great result in silicone...therefore, experience in that area or at least guidance from an artist that is used to do such transitions is of the utmost importance...

This would be a great pose for yoda. I think yoda would be a lil easier to do than that of a full size human character. Less hair to punch, less clothes, etc. but raf is right he really needs to get his supes done and back on his shelves. Lol

    +1
    Yoda would be easier
Yoda represent himself star wars like vader
About transition to silicon, if we have a 90% of yoda headsculpt im ok
Who really know yoda? There is less or more young yoda, or less or more old yoda, it depends on each vision of yoda...
Its like vader helmet or armor, i dont know the difference of the trilogy

Howard S is pretty good in the States. I have his Yoda and Stage 5 Arnold and they are phenomenal transitions. A 1/3 scale Yoda should be pretty easy for him actually. He's basically a head, 2 hands, and 2 feet actually. Also the likeness is not as difficult since he isn't a human actor. This would be right up Howard's wheelhouse. He's already done a few lifesize Yodas, this would merely be shrinking him down to 1/3 scale.

Chang my thought precisely on the yoda not being human and the sculpt may be easier to capture than an actors license. I love Howard's stuff. The one thing we lack here at Cbd is a professional sculptor. We have raf the paint and custom master. But no sculptor, man if we had one here we would be unstoppable in the 1/3 scale market lol

Exactly :top: I mean we had Sosa but he just wasn't interested in what CBD members wanted , too bad

i think there is lot of great sculptor on statueforum who can sculpt 1/3 yoda head, 2 hand 2 foot, and for less than 2500$...
Few month ago i ask to nimajneb a french guy, for a 1/3 iron man light up, he said about 1400€-1500€
Sculpt full 1/3 statue, light up, paint, base
